Este artículo examina testimonios sociolingüísticos recogidos en diversos lugares de la frontera entre España y Portugal en el marco de los trabajos de recolección del Corpus oral de la Frontera España-Portugal del proyecto FRONTESPO. El corpus seleccionado comprende cuestiones como la ruptura de la transmisión generacional en los territorios lusófonos de España, la fuerte interferencia de las variedades estándar sobre los dialectos rayanos, la obsolescencia léxica, las dinámicas lingüísticas en los intercambios comunicativos entre españoles y portugueses, los juicios sobre el modo de hablar de las comunidades rayanas, etc. Esta antología ofrece, por tanto, una aproximación a un territorio lingüísticamente complejo e interesante, desde la perspectiva directa de sus habitantes. This paper examines sociolinguistic testimonies collected in several places along the Spanish-Portuguese border in the framework of the collection of the Oral Corpus of the Spanish-Portuguese Border as part of the FRONTESPO project. The selected corpus includes issues such as the rupture of generational transmission in the Lusophone territories of Spain, the strong interference of standard varieties on the borderland dialects, lexical obsolescence, linguistic dynamics in the communicative exchanges between Spanish and Portuguese, judgements on the language of the borderland communities, and so forth. This anthology offers, therefore, an approach to a linguistically complex and interesting territory, from the direct perspective of its inhabitants.
